Getting ready to head to bed, so we wanted to get this up now as we might not have enough time to do one tomorrow...
After doing the Notre Dame earlier today, as I said earlier, we came back to the hotel and got checked in. We are happy to say, we decided to stay at this hotel tomorrow night as well instead of the one we had reserved earlier. It just makes it easier on us and Trustmark has made arrangements to get us to the airport. Its a little pricier but well worth it. Its hard to stay anywhere else after staying here even though we won't be in the room that much.
After extending our stay, we caught a cab to the Eiffel Tower. We waited in line almost 2 hours just to purchase a ticket to ride up. It was well worth it. It is amazing and the view is spectacular. Kim continues to say "why did i wait so long to visit paris". We spent about 45 minutes admiring the view from all sides and took lots of pictures. By this time, we were starving, because we need our hourly food fix which we were accustomed to on the boat.
We caught a cab to the area of Montmartre. We walked around for a bit and got great pictures of the Eiffel Tower all lit up and we found a cafe to sit down for dinner. Dinner was so so, overpriced, nothing spectacular. I had the lobster, steak, and fried ice cream with chocolate syrup and whip cream. Kim had escargo, duck, and the same dessert. Like I said it was ok, it will be hard to beat what we had on the boat. And of course, as always in France, there was wine.
Its almost 2am here and we are scheduled for breakfast at 8:00 one last time with the group before they take off and Kim and I take off on our own adventure!! Watch out!
There may or may not be a post tomorrow as we are not sure how much time we might have. We are going to start early and end late, hopefully!
